Ciel is introduced as an upperclassman of Shiki and is the sole member of the Japanese tea ceremony club, but is actually a secret agent of the Holy Church's Burial Agency created to exterminate heresy. Before joining the agency, when she was sixteen years old, she used to be the seventeenth host of a certain Dead Apostle. However, even after Arcueid freed her from the Dead Apostle's influence, Ciel was cursed with immortality and will continue to live as long as the Dead Apostle does. While she may be cold and unfeeling on the job, the life she leads otherwise is one of open kindness.
Gameplay Tips
- Ciel's Forward Strong has a followup that throws a knife in front of her by pressing Attack. It works even on whiff, allowing her to cover distance.
- Ciel's Down Tilt, just like her jab, is a three part natural combo. It deals more damage than her jab, but has more endlag on whiff and can only be chained on hit.
- Ciel's Up Tilt can be jump cancelled on hit, allowing for aerial combos. Her Neutral Aerial can be cancelled into Forward Aerial, or Up Special.
- The EX version of Ciel's Neutral Special is a repeated knife-throw volley that can rack up considerable damage. Jump away and punish it as soon as you see it!
- Ciel's Side Special, Blade Sinker, is projectile invulnerable while its yellow afterimages are on screen. The EX version is immediately fully charged, so beware!
- Ciel's Up Special is briefly invulnerable on startup, allowing it to be used safely out of shield to punish opponents.
- Ciel's Down Special, Halo, allows her to dive down and attack any opponent she detects under her as soon as she's near enough. Be sure to punish it before she can dive!
- Ciel's Down EX, Seventh Heaven, has a detection field around Ciel that's triggered if an opponent is close. The only way to avoid it is to shield and punish afterwards.
