Gooigi

Gooigi

Luigi's Mansion

The Gooey Doppelganger of the green Mario Brother. Created by Professer E. Gadd, Gooigi use their own Poltergust 3000 to suck up ghosts and aid Luigi throughout their explorations around the mansion. Even with half the health and it vulnerability to fire, Gooigi can be revived if he's ever defeated in battle.

Gameplay Tips

  • The most distinct things between Gooigi and Luigi is range - Gooigi's normal attacks can sometimes take advantage of extending in unorthodox ways.
  • Down Smash has a lot of coverage on both sides and a very quick hitbox to match.
  • Utilising the Poltergust (Neutral Special) comes in two states - Vacuum, and Release. Suck your opponents in, then spit them out after moving a bit or after a set time.
  • Utilising Element Shot (Side Special)'s projectiles is key to getting a good defense as this character, walling out opponents as he feels! ...It feels?
  • Paste Cannon (Up Special) has Gooigi soar up to the air... only to come crashing down! There's no landing hitbox, but it's a nasty spike on the way down!
  • Strobold Flash is a stunning attack that can lead you to follow up without issue, similar to Luigi's Thunderbrand without the charge. EX version holds them longer!

Trivia

  • Gooigi is, as the name suggests, a goo-made apparition of Luigi made by E. Gadd, first seen in Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS before coming to Luigi's Mansion 3 later.
  • Gooigi's link to Luigi is through the use of Luigi's G-00 model Poltergust, with E. Gadd creating him by an accidental fusion of ectoplasm and ghostly spirit. Spooky...
