Guy is a character from the Final Fight series.
Guy has the following moveset:
- While Guy first showed up in 1989's Final Fight, his fighting game start was in 1995's Street Fighter Alpha as the first Final Fight cameo protagonists in the series.
- Guy is born of two Japanese parents and grows up there too, but in the Street Fighter Alpha series, his birthplace was changed to the USA!
- Guy's also skilled at roasting sweet potatos!
- Guy's teacher in the art of Bushinryu Ninjutsu, Street Fighter V DLC, and possibly Strider character Zeku had to wait 21 years to be playable after Street Fighter Alpha 2!
- The Kanji on Guy's gi is Bushin, or "god of military arts".
- Despite his more traditional apperance, Guy's shoes from Final Fight 3 to Super Street Fighter IV were a pair of Nike Dynasty. Way to flex the drip!
- Guy's not a fan of horizontal writing from the west.
- Guy's childhood friend Maki is also sister to his fiancee Rena. However, some say Maki has feelings for Guy as well. Quite the forbidden love indeed!
- Despite last appearing in Super Street Fighter IV as a playable character, the influence of Guy continues to this day with his pupil in Street Fighter 6, Kimberly!
- For those who've played a Street Fighter Game from Street Fighter III: New Generation onwards, the "target combo" system originates from Guy in Street Fighter Alpha!
- While never confirmed in-game, Guy was given the last name Armstrong in the 52 toys company line of Final Fight toys. Whether hes truly an Armstrong or not is up to you.
- While Guy normally only fights with his hands and legs, Final Fight 3 may hint at Guy knowing ki-based techniques.
- Despite being from Final Fight, Guy is the 2nd playable ninja in the Street Fighter Series, 2nd to Street Fighter 1's Geki, and is the only one to only fight barehanded.
- Automatic Facing?#Whats that?
- Guy, Sakuya, and Sans were actually template characters in CMC if you can believe it. Their connection however is in name only.
- I hear Guy's pretty wise on the streets.
- Once upon a time, Beat-Em-Ups and Fighting Games were often considered the same thing! I guess Guy's been in the FGC longer then Akuma!
- I heard Guy's Bushin Muso Renge takes from a angry demon.# I Wonder what thats about...
- As Guy lacks any projectiles or disjointed attacks to speak of, you must become one with Bushinryu and close the gap swiftly to secure a KO!
- Guy retreats when using Up Smash. When you aren't sure of the opponent's next move or want to mix up your opponent with a Prism Cancel, this move is a must!
- Guy's Down Air attack shoots him downwards when used. Use this to start combos or surprise a opponent expecting him to fall at normal speed.
- While Guy's Forward and Back Air attacks are kicks, they are not the same. His Forward Air is quick & sends down at the foot while his Back hits harder and outwards.
- Guy may lack natural cancels, but is still really good at comboing the opponent. Hit them fast, hit them lots, and hit them until it hurts!
- Guy's Dash Attack slows him down and should be used right in front of the opponent, while his Down Tilt slides him forwards. What a fake-out from such a normal guy.
