Joker
Persona 5
Amamiya Ren, or better known by his code name, Joker, is the main protagonist of Persona 5. After having falsely framed for assault he had to transfer to Shujin Academy where not long afterwards his life took a drastic turn and he became the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
Gameplay Tips
- Joker can jump forward and backward as well as up by using the movement keys while using his gun. This isn't true for his Neutral Ex.
- Joker's Down Special has a small timer that is activated if he gets hit. During it releasing the special button will perform a counter attack or pressing the attack button will make him do a knife dash.
- Joker's Neutral Ex projectiles have homing properties so even if your aim isn't the best you got a good chance of hitting someone.
- Using Joker's Up Special on the ground will make him pull down the opponent towards himself.
- A successful counter with Joker's Down Ex will make his Persona meter rise up. This is also true for the Down Special while Arsene is active.
Trivia
- Joker has the power of the Wild Card, meaning he can wield multiple Personas instead of only one.
- Joker makes really good curry and coffee.
- Joker's gun is a model gun, and the cognition of the Metaverse is what allows it to function as a regular one.
- If the Shadow Joker palette is used, the Phantom Thieves will use their respective Shadow looks during Joker's Prism Shatter as well.
- According to Yusuke and Makoto, Joker smells like coffee.
- Joker is the third character in the Persona series who bears this name.
