Shulk

Shulk

Xenoblade Chronicles

Shulk lived a humble life as a young mechanic in Colony 9 within the Bionis, but all that changed when the Mechon attacked the colony and murdered his childhood friend Fiora. Since the invasion, he set out to destroy all of the Mechon with the weapon known as the Monado. The Monado itself is shrouded in mystery. What is it? Where did it come from? The truth of it will flip the entire narrative on its head through unexpected ways...

Gameplay Tips

  • Shulk's Neutral Special allow you choose between Jump, Speed, Armour and Enchant by holding Special, then move up, down, left or right. Then let go of Special button.
  • Shulk's Monado Jump gives him higher jump, more air speed and enhanced jump height for Air Slash. But he takes overall more damage.
  • Shulk's Monado Speed gives him better run, walk and air speed, but worse jump and less damage dealt.
  • Shulk's Monado Armour makes him take overall less damage and gives him more weight, in exchange for dealing less damage and has worse mobility overall.
  • Shulk's Monado Enchant increases overall damage dealt, but he would also receive more damage too, be careful with getting hit should you use it!
  • Up Special Air Slash allows Shulk to perform a 2nd swing if you press Attack or Special button before he goes into helpless.
  • Back Slash will deal extra damage overall should Shulk manage to hit the enemy from the back.
  • Shulk's Vision (Down Special) actually has two methods of attacking upon activation, if you hold forward beforehand, the hit would send the enemy behind him instead.
  • Monado Shield allows Shulk to take one hit risk free, useful if you need to approach in a reckless fashion, just be careful when dealing with multi-hit moves.
  • Monado Buster is one of the strongest non-Prism Shatter moves out there, but since it takes practically forever to come out, don't use it carelessly!
