Shao Kahn, the Emperor of Outworld, first appears as a conqueror seeking to merge Earthrealm with Outworld through Mortal Kombat tournaments. He served as the advisor to the former ruler, Onaga, before usurping the throne. After centuries of expansion, he targets Earthrealm, repeatedly sending his champions to compete. Despite initial defeats, he invades Earthrealm directly, prompting a desperate defense by its warriors.
Gameplay Tips
- The hammer in Shao Kahn's Down EX can have its trajectory changed via your input. A good aim is sure to make them suffer.
- Shao Kahn's Down Special is a reflecting attack. Send your enemies' own offense at them!
- Shao Kahn's Up EX is a rising command grab. With it, your opponents will know their downfall well.
- Shao Kahn's Neutral Air is a 3-parter combo. Your enemies will learn to fear you above and below.
- Shao Kahn's Prism Shatter is one of his Fatalities from Deception. Certain conditions, however, may lead to different outcomes.
Trivia
- From MK2 to MK Trilogy, Shao Kahn made his presence known even outside of his own fights as the game's announcer. Superb!
- Beyond his brute strength, Shao Kahn is also proficient in dark magic, being able to absorb others' souls and even clone himself.
