Sonic the Hedgehog
A powerful red echidna, Knuckles resides on Angel Island, where he guards the Master Emerald. Both friend and rival of Sonic, Knuckles is a martial-arts expert who can break through rocks with his spiked fists. In addition, he can climb walls and use the wind to glide through the air.
Gameplay Tips
- Knuckles is able to cancel his Jab into Side Special if the opponent is at a high percentage, use that to finish off stocks in a stylish long combo!
- For his grounded Side Special, Knuckles will go into a series of punches. At the end, you can choose which punch to end things with by holding up/down/forward.
- For his aerial Side Special, Knuckles will blast forward with a headbutt and start wailing on whoever he hits! Proper timing can even change how he finishes the attack!
- Between his Specials, Glide, Glide attack, Wall jump and Wall Climb, Knuckles is one mobile echidna!
- Despite both Sonic and Knuckles jumping off of a spring for their up specials, they aren't quite the same. For one thing, Knuckles will break your shins on the way up.
- Knuckles is able to regrab opponents quickly, this pairs very well with his dash-cancelable Forward Throw!
- If you hold up while on the ground, Knuckles will look up! This is crucial for the meta.
- The stone used during the move Rock Free-Fall is affecitonately named Predro by the dev team.

- Did you know? Knuckles once punched the Chaos Emeralds right out of Super Sonic!
- Knuckles was once leader of an entire war effort! It went about as well as you'd expect.
- Despite his namesake, we aren't actually sure what Knuckles is hiding under his gloves.
- Did you know, Sonic Prime Knuckles is unique in that his shatterverse versions have a completly different voice actor to his main self, a trait only shared with Eggman himself!
- Knuckles' eye color is blue. Or is it purple? Well, Sonic Battle has both, so maybe his eyes change color.
