Pac-Man
The yellow circular family man that chomps ghosts for many of his adventures, it's the Pac with many to come back to. PAC-MAN is normally a jolly fellow that goes about his day like any normal person would, until the evil ghosts come to ruin his day. By chomping on special giant orbs known as "power pellets" he is able to transform and be able to devour the ghosts, turning into spirits until they restore their power anew.
Gameplay Tips
- PAC-MAN's Neutral Special is Pac-Dot Throw. Holding the Special button charges it to make the throw stronger.
- PAC-MAN's Side Special is Rev Roll. Hold the Special button to gain speed, then let go to immediately dash forward.
- PAC-MAN's Up Special is Maze Boost. An arrow will appear indicating the direction PAC-MAN will go, which can be changed.
- PAC-MAN's Down Special is Butt Bounce. He dives straight downwards butt-first to slam down on any target below him with great force.
- PAC-MAN's Prism Shatter is Super PAC-MAN. He will automatically chase any opponent on battlefield and eat them on the spot.
Trivia
- The iconic image of PAC-MAN is widely believed to have been inspired by a pizza with a missing slice, which designer Toru Iwatani clarified to be only "half-true".
- PAC-MAN's titular game was originally titled "Puck Man" in Japan. It was then changed to prevent vandalism after releasing the game in English speaking countries.
