Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Raiden, also known as Jack, is the main protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Rising. In MGR, Raiden works as a security guard until Desperado attacks him on an escort mission. He is then saved by Doktor and spends the rest of the game taking vengeance upon Desperado.
Gameplay Tips
- Raiden's Neutral Special slashes the opponent relentlessly if you hold it down. By pressing Special, Raiden rips out the enemy's spine (fake) and absorbs meter from it.
- Raiden can also gain meter using Down Throw.
- Raiden's Dash Attack can be jump cancelled.
- Raiden's Down Air is huge. You can spike someone with it without going off-stage.
- Although Raiden's Side Smash has long range, it has a blindspot directly in front of him.
- Raiden's Up Special has no scaling, which makes it a decent air combo starter.
Trivia
- Raiden's real name is Jack, and due to his violent tendencies, he was given the nickname "Jack the Ripper".
