Mario's self-styled rival. He loves money and gross humor. He often sets out in search of hidden treasure. His bold moves come from his superhuman strength and are completely different from Mario's moves. Aside from adventuring, he's also the chairman of game maker WarioWare, Inc. Its franchise game is WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$.
Gameplay Tips
- A common strategy with Wario sort of goes like this: Late Nair > Up Tilt > Up Air > Up Air. It'll rack a lot of damage at low percents!
- Wario's Down Smash is the Earthshake Punch from Shake It!!. It spikes foes in the center of his fist, but launch away foes with the debris surrounding him.
- Wario's Down Air is a ground pound that shoots him down. On hit, he bounces off the opponent's head. Sourspot can be comboed with while Sweetspot is a straight meteor!
- Wario's Up Throw is a smaller and weaker version of his Piledriver, but it serves good quick utility for linking stuff together.
- Wario's Down Throw has him perform an Argentine Backbreaker to launch opponents skyward. We affectionately call it a poor man's Potemkin Buster.
- Wario's Neutral Special is simply named "Shake It!". Why? It's a command grab that shakes the opponent rapidly before he tosses them away. I mean, it's free money!
- Wario's EX Neutral Special has him don a Dragon helmet and perform Dragon's Breath, launching a powerful flamethrower at enemies! It's his highest horizontal coverage!
- Wario's Side Special is his iconic Shoulder Tackle. While moving, you can press the Jump Button or hold up to jump into the air while running.
- Wario's EX Side Special is called Jet Shoulder, donning the Jet helmet and rocketing forward! It's got the highest damage sweetspot in his kit!
- Wario's Up Special is Piledriver, grabbing opponents from the air before spinning them down to the floor to launch them sky high... or to the bottom blast zone!
- Wario's EX Up Special is his old Corkscrew from Smash, hitting multiple times before donning a Bull Helmet and headbutting anyone close by! He's taking foes by the horns!
- Wario's Down Special is called "Made In Wario", where he lobs a bomb based on the series! While it's not particularly strong, it's a good ledge trapping option.
- Wario's EX Down Special is his Full Charge Wario Waft from Smash. You don't have to worry about charging this over time! However, it leaves him wide open if he misses...
